MEETING UP WITH THE SALVATION ARMY

Last Saturday, walking down the streets of Mulhouse, I came across the Officer of the Salvation Army, who was ringing the bell for their Christmas charity appeal.
I introduced myself and told him about the two wonderful years (1991-1993), when I worked for the Salvation Army in Northern France.
In the morning, I joined the lieutenant along with a dozen Salvationists for their church service, less than 200 meters from my house.
It was so good to be at a meeting that reminded me of those I knew in my youth.
The officer mentioned that the Salvation Army, though in decline in Europe, is growing rapidly across Africa and Asia.
Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit would blow once again on this great evangelistic movement.
