When I get up to preach last Sunday at a church here in Mulhouse, I spot at the back of the building a young lad, his eyes lost in his smartphone. I asked for everyone to listen carefully for the next 30 minutes and to please turn their phones off.
This teenager could have easily been upset but instead he listens carefully to the message.
After preaching I give an invitation to those who have not yet given their lives to Jesus to do so. On the last row, one hand goes up. It’s that same boy. He keeps his hand up high so I can see it.
As soon as the meeting is over, I go to the back door and hand over to the 15-year-old lad a copy of my book. ” Thank you very much” he says, ” I will surely read it all!”
” There is much joy in Heaven for one sinner who repents”.
