I was up early last Thursday to take the Lille-London Eurostar, then onto another train heading for Tamworth where Pastor Steve Le Page and his wife picked me up. I had supper with Emma, former WEC missionary to Thailand and with 96-year-old Peter who served 21 years in Senegal translating the New Testament- An inspiration! (He sat in the front row that night at Coton Green church where I was speaking).
Friday I was able to catch up with my cousin Janice and her husband who I had not met for at least 10 years.
Saturday after catching up with a friend (I had not seen for 18 years!) I was back on the train, heading to Wales. My old friend Peter from Bible College days picked me up. Great fellowship!
Sunday morning Peter and his wife Sara drove me to their church in Newport where I preached.
After the service, old friends Grayham and Mary took me to their home in Bristol, for a fantastic English Sunday meal before heading to the train station where I boarded for Devon. I got in just in time to minister the Word for a combined service at Brookdale Evangelical Church.
I’m thankful to Chris and Vicky for putting me up at their house overlooking the sea. One more meeting to go on Wednesday.
The ‘C’est Toujours Possible!’ Tour in France continues this weekend at La Rochelle.
