WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT?

The Weekly Update – Sunday, December 28, 2025

Who would have thought that the prize for “Best Choir in France” would be won by a gospel group from an evangelical church in Paris?

Late last Friday night on France 3 National TV , Les Chérubins (celebrating their 40th anniversary this year) lifted the trophy! One of the choir members, Olga (our pastor’s daughter-in-law), regularly leads worship at our congregation in Vichy.

If only Gospel music groups could be formed everywhere to sing the Good News in town squares, schools, retirement homes, etc.

Who would have thought that one day, on the outskirts of Paris, thousands of believers would gather every Sunday under the same roof, making Charisma the largest church in France?

We didn’t notice the time passing during the meeting, which lasted 4 hours and 15 minutes!

After the service, French fries with chicken or sausage, drinks, and dessert were served to everyone, free of charge.

Shuttle buses also provided transportation.

Who would have thought that Pastor Pedro, originally from Portugal (who did not speak French when he arrived here), would become, with his English wife, the founding couple of a congregation that, in just a few years, would become the largest in the history of Christianity in France?

To date: 12,000 members and 2,000 house groups throughout the Paris region.
