MINISTERING TO YOUNG AND OLD IN CENTRAL FRANCE

Last Saturday I drove down to the mission centre ‘La Porte Ouverte’ in Burgundy, where I left 18 months ago.

Last Saturday I drove down to the mission centre ‘La Porte Ouverte’ in Burgundy, where I left 18 months ago.

It was so good to see Pastor Philippe Genet and his wife Irène and the whole team again.

Sunday morning I brought the Word at the church there. Everyone was invited to join in for a meal afterwards. Great fellowship around great cuisine…

‘ Come back whenever you want’ said Irène Monday afternoon as I was about to leave.

In the evening I arrived in the Auvergne region (where I was born) at the Jozerand Children’s Camp. My last visit was 26 years ago when I was serving as Camp leader. Jozerand brings memories of my childhood: Scout weekends, WEC France conferences, Summer camps… I remember so well how as a little boy one evening after hearing God’s Word I was powerfully touched by the Holy Spirit. I went to bed that night unable to sleep as the Love of Jesus was so real.

This morning I was asked to share the Word to the staff, then I gave a message to the 11-14 years old, under the trees… 6 of them gave their hearts to Jesus. Yes!
