Booths for free books:
From time to time, I pick up evangelistic tracts (often found on display racks at the back of churches) and head for a Boîte à livres. These book boxes (very common now in France) are found on the street in most towns. They are sometimes old telephone booths. Anyone can drop or take books for free.
This afternoon, I went to a book box close to where we live and slipped a leaflet inside each book… Praying that those who come to pick up a book will discover when they read the Good News!
I also left a few Gospels. I was pleased to see that others had the same idea, leaving evangelistic books and Christian biographies. I said to myself: ” Wouldn’t it be good if Christians could take advantage of these boxes to spread the Gospel! All they have to do is collect used Christian books from their library shelves and bring them to those public book booths. This would give their books a second life, and maybe even a new life to an unsaved reader!” Timothée
