The Weekly Update – July 7, 2025
For over 20 years now, several evangelical churches in the Nord of France have been organizing a giant BBQ in downtown Tourcoing. Last Saturday, I joined the event, which every year gives passers-by a free sausage sandwich. By sitting down at one of the tables, they get to meet Christians. Concordia church worship band performed in the background Christian songs. A friendly atmosphere and nice weather.
The next day, in nearby Roubaix, I shared a Gospel message at the Eglise Evangélique de l’Union ( the church my parents attend) . At the end, when the invitation was given, among those who came forward was a man in his sixties, of Algerian origin, who was there for the first time. He has been invited to come to church from a believer the day before at the giant BBQ.
When Christians from different backgrounds work together, God blesses, and souls are touched.
