MARYVONNE’S ANSWERED PRAYER

A few days ago, we received a phone call from Maryvonne, an elderly lady from a small village in Burgundy. This woman of faith often prays for us with her husband. On the phone she said: “As I prayed for you and for the Gospel Service this Sunday in Burnhaupt-le-Bas (town near the French-Swiss border), the Lord showed me that when you make the appeal at the end of the message, there will be one person in the audience who will be reluctant to come forward, until the last moment.”

In the evening Yukki prayed, “Lord, let that person on Sunday come to the front and publicly give her life to Jesus.

At 10 am when the service began, there were several new people at the evangelical church.

It was almost noon when, at the end of the sermon, I gave the invitation. I was a little discouraged not to see anyone come forward. I started putting away my sermon notes and my Bible. Yukki is on the front row in prayer. The one who was leading the final song felt that the last verse should be sung once more. And suddenly a young woman gets up and comes quickly to the front of the platform. Her eyes filled with tears; she says: “I have come to give my life to Jesus!”

As Maryvonne had told us, at the last minute a lost soul would turn to the Lord.

Please pray for this young woman, Elise, and also for Janine (a first-time visitor) with whom Yukki spoke after the service.
