COPENHAGEN and CLUJ

The Weekly Update – October 12, 2026

This summer, we hit the road for a journey that took us all the way to the port of Helsingborg in Sweden—a 4,000-km round trip.

We won’t forget our few days in Denmark. A peaceful country, people who are respectful and polite, clean streets. No wonder this small Scandinavian nation consistently ranks among the happiest countries in the world. Copenhagen, with its parks, cafés, colourful facades, canal, and houseboats, is a true gem.

Last week we flew to the city of Cluj in Romania, where Yukki’s sister Florence is serving the Lord.

This lovely university town (100,000 students!), the capital of Transylvania, is a haven of peace. It was such a pleasure to stroll through the main square and the streets and avenues (laid out in a grid pattern). From the apartment where we were staying, we could see the green hills surrounding the city.

According to a Christian magazine, 95% of Romanians believe that God exists and that the Bible is the truth.

What if France—which is constantly in turmoil, caught up in strikes, protests, and rebellion—could learn from Denmark and Romania?
