The Weekly Update – 26 May 2026
Every time a new church is established in France, it is a great victory. And it doesn’t matter where it chooses to meet : in a building, a coffee shop, or a town hall… or in a house, as in Gannat, Central France.
There were 22 of us last Friday, gathered in the living room of “l’Étable” (The Barn), at Vincent and Élodie’s home.
New people came to discover the Gospel for the first time.
When Yukki read the passage about the two thieves crucified near Jesus, everyone was able to follow along with a copy of the Gospel of Luke handed out to each person.
Timothée (delighted to be able to preach in the town where he was born and born again!) revealed during his message those false beliefs still deeply rooted in many people’s minds:
“Ah, I always thought the Bible was a boring book…”
“Ah, I always thought that if I didn’t do too many big sins in life, I’d go to Heaven…”
“Ah, I always thought that if I did good deeds, God would take them into account and open for me the doors of Heaven…”
“Ah, I always thought that all religions were good, as long as you are sincere”
During this evangelistic service, four people gave their lives to Jesus.
“I will build my Church,” said Jesus… Even at the heart of France!
