The Weekly Update – September 14, 2026
Yesterday at lunch time, at the end of the service at church , we asked two ladies if they’d like to join us for a meal at a restaurant.
They gladly accepted.
So we spent over two hours enjoying Indian cuisine in Vichy, getting to know each other better.
We could have gone home, and these two sisters in Christ—who live alone—could have each gone back to their own places. But we decided to do something different.
So many Christians, every Sunday after church, find themselves alone, just as they are every other day of the week. So many Christians, after years of attending a fellowship seeing the same members, ultimately hardly know each other.
There is nothing sadder than a child of God who, after singing “We are one in a bond of love…” and “Yes, we are part of God’s family…,” finds themselves alone in front of their plate on Sunday.
What if we reversed this trend?
