The ‘WEC Up!’ weekend was held at the Assembly of God of Montauban, near Toulouse.
4 WECers: Miguel and Timothée (who flew in the day before), Junior and Lauren (who drove from the Basque country) led workshops, plenary sessions and interviews all day Saturday. Our sole aim: to inspire Christians to move out into mission.
A packed lunch at midday allowed us to get to know the participants better.
We were so well received by the pastor and his wife and put up in very nice homes.
On Sunday, during the Lord’s Supper, Timothée preached a short Gospel message before handing over to Miguel, director of WEC France, for a sermon inviting young and old to “get out and communicate the Good News to the world”.
Worship ended with a prayer for Séverine, a new WEC member whom the Lord is sending to Burundi.
The icing on the cake: an afternoon visit to Bruniquel, listed as one of ‘France’s most beautiful villages.’
