The Weekly Update<\/strong> \u2013 August 3, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past week, Timoth\u00e9e\u2019s father, Matthew Paton, has been in palliative care at the hospital in Roubaix, Northern France. He is very weak and can no longer speak. But every day, we pray and entrust him into the mighty hands of Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s what Yukki wrote about her father-in-law:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy father-in-law is a man who loves lost souls. I\u2019ve always seen him talking about Jesus or handing out Gospel tracts to everyone he meets. I see in him the love of God, the love of Jesus. My father-in-law isn\u2019t a complicated man. He doesn\u2019t need to be a great speaker or have deep intellectual knowledge. He\u2019s got it all figured out: he simply sows the name of Jesus, and it\u2019s God who convinces hearts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He\u2019s a man who doesn\u2019t talk about his achievements. He simply does what God asks him to do. \u201cDear children, let us not love with words or speech alone, but with actions and in truth.\u201d<\/em> 1 John 3:18<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My father-in-law doesn\u2019t just listen to the Word being preached\u2014he puts it into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are a few more verses that come to mind when I think of him:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhoever is faithful in little things is also faithful in big things.\u201d<\/em> Luke 16:10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cSurely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.\u201d<\/em> Psalm 23:6<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I tell you: Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.\u201d<\/em> Matthew 5:44<\/p>\n\n\n\n
