The book \u2018Leave the Shore\u2019!<\/em> is finally available at the Kindle store on Amazon:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other day, Joseph, from England wrote this, after reading \u201cLeave the shore!\u201d:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  \u201cCan\u2019t recommend it enough! One of the best Christian books I’ve ever read. So much so I ordered my own copy as this one is part of the 5 copies Mum and Dad ordered for me to bring out to Thailand.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This young man will have the copies in his suitcase this week as he flies to meet his missionary parents in Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bible says that \u2018Elisha returned to his oxen and slaughtered them.\u2019<\/em><\/strong> (1 Kings 19:21 NLT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the name of your oxen?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is it that is holding you back from following Him? A relationship? A comfortable life? An addiction? Bitterness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don\u2019t put your oxen on the altar as a sacri\ufb01ce you can never fully serve God. Don\u2019t even hide the oxen in a small barn somewhere, because when the ride gets rough, you will run back to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ll never forget the man who stepped forward at the call I was giving at a conference in England. I began my message by saying, “What happened to those who used to go out into mission with a one-way ticket? We’re seeing fewer and fewer of them!\u201d  <\/em>At the end of the meeting, among those who came to the front, is this man in his sixties who kneels down near the platform. I go over to pray with him. He tells me: “God has spoken to my heart tonight: every year for 17 years I’ve made a missionary trip to Uganda. I’ve always bought a return ticket. For my next trip, I’ll be going on a one-way ticket!\u201d<\/em> I hope he kept his promise and left his home country for good. God is still looking for men and women who, like Elisha, are ready to \u2018burn their bridges\u2019 and set off on a one-way ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
