We strolled through the medieval streets, the Wilson garden, admired the Château de Bourbon, shared a meal in a restaurant in the old town and visited Le MUPop, the largest collection of musical instruments and objects in France.

3,500 instruments, over 3,300 m2, dating from the late 18th century to the present day. Bagpipes, accordions, electric guitars… This unique museum is an immersion in the world of brass bands, balls, rock’n’roll, jazz, swing, pop…

We thought again about these numerous instruments, all well-guarded behind thick glass windows. How many Christians today, with the talents God has given them, find themselves locked up and mute. We’re not made to stay in a museum. The world needs to hear our melody. What is your gift? God has entrusted it to you to bless others.

The next day, the worship band from our church gathered, as it does every year, at Place St Louis in the heart of Vichy for the Fête de la Musique. God’s presence was palpable. Hundreds of passers-by heard the Gospel sung. The saxophone, guitar and bass were heard. Not behind the glass of a museum, but in the street.

What if we took our instruments and our voices out of the 4 walls of our churches to communicate joy to a world that so desperately needs it?

Timothée & Yukki

[1

post-4199","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-non-classe
["GET
