{"id":4092,"date":"2025-03-24T16:24:58","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T15:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timotheepaton.com\/?p=4092"},"modified":"2025-03-24T16:36:34","modified_gmt":"2025-03-24T15:36:34","slug":"ils-se-levent-comme-bartimee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timotheepaton.com\/en\/ils-se-levent-comme-bartimee\/","title":{"rendered":"THEY RESPOND AS BARTIMAEUS DID"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Weekly Update<\/strong> &#8211; March 24, 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Two reasons why we&#8217;re happy to help host evangelistic services:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; In the weeks leading up to the event, Christians in the church share their faith and invite friends and family to come and hear the Good News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Young and old alike discover the Plan of Salvation through music and art, a testimony of conversion (often in the form of an interview) and the preaching of the Gospel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is what happened yesterday at the CEP Evangelical church in Vichy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After weeks of prayer and preparation, the hall was packed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sermon was taken from the story of blind Bartimaeus who, despite the hostility of some in the crowd, cried out, <em>\u201cJesus, Son of David have mercy on me!\u201d<\/em> He threw his coat away and came to Jesus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the middle of my message, a man in the audience rushed to the stage.
