WHAT ARE THE STRINGS TO YOUR BOW?

Hi from Chiang Mai, Thailand after spending one week in Singapore at the ‘Kingdom Invasion’ Conference. There were 8 000 of us from 47 different countries. In 1978, when Billy Graham came to Singapore he proclaimed the city nation to be the ‘Antioch of Asia’. Friday night , at the last meeting of the conference all 8 000 delegates prayed for Singapore to be, 40 years since Billy Graham’s prophetic word, the place where missionaries are once again sent out to the unreached peoples of the world.

Evangelist Billy Graham knew what His calling was. Recently I started mediating on what my calling is.

It’s good to sit down regularly to make sure we are still on track and running the race God has called us to.

I think our life’s main calling and ministry looks very much like a bow. Over the years we discover the different strings the Lord has given to that bow. I have found 5 strings to my bow.

My bow: stirring people

So they:

1- turn their lives to Christ

2- move out into mission

3- preach the Gospel to a captivated audience

4- press on in spite of their struggles

5- let their God-given talent shine

Have you found your bow? What are the different strings to that bow?

Next week as I preach in Réunion Island in the Indian Ocean I hope to use as best as I can the bow and the strings the Lord has entrusted me with.
