I have just spent two wonderful weeks in the North of France with the ‘Paton’s Tribe’. Such a good time!
Great family moments of fellowship, laughter and nice food. The other day we organised a ‘Slide Show Evening’. Those of you over 40 years of age will remember slides. In the attic at my brother’s house I picked up dozens of old slides, some dating back to the 60s.
We all gathered at my parents’ place and with a borrowed old slide machine we projected photos on the white wall of the living room. We could see Mum and Dad as they started out in the ministry all those years ago; my brother and I as little boys… We went down memory lane to those towns and villages in Central France: Gannat, Le Puy, la Bourboule, Issoire, Cournon, Clermont Ferrand…
We closed the evening thanking God for His grace and faithfulness down the years… He has been good.
Tomorrow Wednesday I leave Tourcoing for a 9 hour trip south, in bus to ‘La Porte Ouverte’ Mission Centre near the town of Chalons sur Saone.
A new chapter is beginning…
