CHALLENGED BY THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

Every Christian should attend that kind of event!

It’s not far from Paris that the ‘Annual Weekend of Open Doors’ was held with the theme for this year: ‘Going against the flow, the faith of the persecuted Christians’.

We were 1500 participants from all over France to hear the powerful and moving testimonies from men and women of God who daily face oppression and persecution.

Among the speakers : Sunder from India who faces Hindu nationalism, Youssef from Algeria who faces anti-conversion laws, Enrique Machado facing the Colombian guerrilla , Yudy Yang from China who faces constant watch from the government, Elia from Iraq facing Islamic extremism, ( this brother spoke to us, hidden, for safety reason. We could only see his silhouette on the stage) and Ned from Malaysia who faces rejection from his own.

Over those two days I had the joy of meeting several friends; some I had not seen in 30 years!

November 10th is the ‘Sunday for the Persecuted Church’ in hundreds of churches across France. I will be speaking in a church in Villeneuve d’Ascq as part on the ‘C’est Toujours Possible!’ Tour.
